Yes. We teach them to use Notebook LM to upload the math frameworks, their benchmark data and their curriculum components to build plans of progression, differentiation plans and small group instructional plans.

We are. In OK we have thousands of adjunct teachers, ie high school graduates who are 18 or older and have β€œrelevant” experience. AI is one thing that helps bridge the gap of un qualification.

Do you have an alternative that will help the students sitting in Oklahoma classrooms and others in places where systemic failures have already robbed them of so many opportunities? I’d love not to rely on AI, but working in these conditions, I do what I have to for my students.

The intentional strings that I have give 4 prompts. If I can't get to them all we do 1, 2 and 4. But 3 is written for students to see even if we don't discuss it. These routines are so fun and powerful that without good time management, you can do them the entire math block! #ElemMathChat

A7 I don't know specifically how I would do these differently until I hear how students engage. What I ALWAYS say is what do you notice/wonder. I have also added, what relationships do you notice and how do those help you think about this problem. Relationships is the 3rd most used! #ElemMathChat

In middle school I start with these exact kind of number strings. Maybe it is thier age, but someone ALWAYS notices what I call the relationships. IMO Math Talk Strategies are THE BEST and fastest interventions and way to build unbuilt foundations! #ElemMathChat

A6 Honestly when I see this string I see money bonds that relate to a dollar. I am sure that we are begging students to see teh doubling of 2 to 4 to 80 and what that means for the product and the relationship to 100. I see money. #ElemMathChat
