"It's... pink" says Guybrush Pthreepwood, a large pterosaur walking along a rocky trail overlooking a coastal plain and sea. The sky beyond is yellowish, but Guybrush is right: that's a super pink set of clouds. Undeterred, he walks on, continuing his quest for the Ultimate Insult. He hopes Murray the Skull is some sort of cool dinosaur skull in this universe.

Realising that #FossilFriday is sneaking away, so I'll quickly post some #paleoart of the giant #pterosaur Hatzegopteryx to avoid missing out. I painted this back in 2019 but gave it a 30-minute spruce up today to sort out some compositional and colour issues. #sciart #fossil

Following the release of #SonicBlitz, fans have found multiple surprising character references in its files.

We looked at the game's APK, and can confirm that characters from Archie, IDW, Underground, and Sonic X were mentioned.

Like Lanolin, Sally, and Manic, just to name a few.

So, dataminers are digging through Sonic Blitz and finding all sorts of characters, including Lanolin, Tangle, Captain Whisker, the Battle Bird Armada, modern Mighty. #SonicNews

But also...Sally and Nicole:

Wes Weasley from AoStH, and Tekno from StC are informing Nicky from the Shogakukan Sonic manga that everything is canon.

A stylized drawing of Pterodaustro. The pterosaur is portrayed in shallow water (where it likely fed using hundreds of teeth to filter food items), with hands positioned outwards as suggested by pterodactyloids footprints. The wing membranes of pterosaurs had sophisticated anatomy and the illustration shows them contracted. The fluff on the tail hints to the viewer that the animal was covered with pycnofiber. The Pterodaustro colours are inspired by flamingos, modern animals of similar feeding behaviour which take their pigments from their food.

Here's Pterodaustro, a fantastic-looking pterosaur with hundreds of bristle-like teeth used to filter out tiny tiny smol food (eg. plankton) from the water!

I hear some of you like lore... so...

Mugendramon appears to be upgraded with parts from Kiryu, a MechaGodzilla who was built from the bones of the original Godzilla, whose ghost would sometimes take it over.

So this is gonna go 'very' well for whoever did that.

It's March 21st in Japan so Happy Birthday to longtime Digimon designer Kenji Watanabe!
