Are you kidding me? I just watched 5 and 6 back to back. It's night and day. 5 is embarrassing nonsense. 6 actually has interesting characters, fun performances, dramatic tension, is actually entertaining.

It's just that old trick: Repetition.1

Some of that repetition is being done by a capitulating media. I've heard Ryan Bridge on herald now say it a lot. But even on RNZ they repeat this lie.

The truth is being environmentally friendly could be so good for the NZ economy.

Big Tech’s Climate Strategists Feeling Strain of AI Power Needs Energy-hungry data centers test industry’s commitment to go carbon-zero by 2040

It's funny how a few years ago there was a lot of talk about how EVs would put a strain on the power grid - which was proven to be untrue, in fact they can help alleviate it by providing storage.

Turns out the very real and very large tech drain on the grid is AI. www.bloomberg.com/news/feature...

I have been trying and failing a half-decent fancy steamed milk pour almost daily for about 4 years.

I can fairly consistently make a drinkable one with nice froth. Making it look like a pro latte/flat white still eludes me

Solar’s price drop is astonishing: panels are now 98% cheaper than when I first analyzed them in 2004.

Today, building a fence with solar can be cheaper than using wood.

Weak policy is weak. It feels like Labour doesn't understand that you don't win the centre by POSITIONING in the centre, that just makes Labour look weak. Labour can win with MESSAGING to the centre. Win the narrative, and make policy bold enough to actually make a difference. #nzpol

Labour to campaign on narrow capital gains tax, no wealth tax Labour has agreed to campaign on a tax covering just some property to help fund a limited number of free GP visits.

@chrishipkins.bsky.social solid policy, not bad. I expect it will help shift property investors into investing in business at least a little bit. I just do wish that Labour understood that you win the centre with messaging, better narrative, not with positioning #nzpol www.rnz.co.nz/news/politic...

Yeah see, this is a standard apologist tactic: avoid addressing the behaviour by talking about the person instead.

If someone said "i'm sick of seeing women on TV" saying they're a "lovely person" would be completely unhinged. This is no different

26.10.2025 18:25 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It's a typical tactic: make it personal. I don't know a thing about her so i won't call her racist.

But what she said was obviously, objectively racist. She was saying she wanted to see only white people.

It's important to call out the behaviour wherever you see it.

Yes - altho as a gen-xer neoliberal shit is stupid and leads to the country becoming a hellscape, i know many genxers who share this view... But anyway, yes these policies are popular with a certain section of the population - but i think that section is smaller than most people think.

Research shows that NS generates social profit: 1.33 billion euros This is according to a new study by Professor Dirk Schoenmaker (Rotterdam School of Managemen) and Wander Marijnissen of strategic consultancy firm ftrprf.

@chewienz.bsky.social thanks for the link. If we had a govt with a clue, we would be using "social profit" as a measure here. #nzpol www.eur.nl/en/news/rese...
