Vastly inflated valuations mostly by Musk lying about them, same as #tsla ...when are people going to start clocking that he has been promisng and not delivering for a decade and a half and more? Hyperloop, tunnels, roadster 2, semi, "self driving", robots, robotaxis, mars, moon - All false promises

More pro-USA. That's the only requirement for the USA. Same old colonialism

Yeah she would give Trump exactly the autocracy he wants. But she got the Nobel Peace Prize so he's jealous and crying like an angry baby

Eh, it's got a certain look. It's not so much the ugliness as the stupidity.
It's utterly impractical as a truck, totally lacking in utility.
The only one who did an EV truck well is Rivian.

We all know Winston Peters is in it for himself. Regardless, sometimes, even now, he is sometimes perceptive enough to be correct (and it suits him to say so).
This deal is good for India, not for NZ. @chrishipkins.bsky.social supporting this is a bad mistake for NZ.

The uber rich live in a distorted reality thanks to the massive power imbalance with everyone around. They are often lonely and loneliness leads to addiction (to money).
In a way they are as afflicted as the rest of us. I say this not so as to have empathy for them, more musing on the situation

What is VERY concerning is the extremely wishy-washy response from chippy about this.
We need an opposition party strong on messaging:
"Red tape" protects people. Protects communities. Protects the environment.
"Too much red tape" is bad. But this govt's judgement has proven to be very bad.

No. Tell hipkins to stop laying into the greens. HE is handing the right another victory. He's way too agreeable to the right on things he shouldn't be

Their excuse: taking action to reduce emissions will "destroy the economy".
The truth is completely the opposite, it will be GOOD for the economy, many experts have said this. More opposition parties need to be saying this too. #nzpol

@chrishipkins.bsky.social Labour's acting like the Dems prior to Trump's win: weak, tepid, pandering to the right.
It worked for Starmer because voters had a really long time to be sick of the incumbents... And the UK system let them win with only 34% of the vote.
Real progressive policy needed.

That's on you.
We need a RED Labour. Not this pale blue.
Labour (and their supporters) fail to recognise that weak policy doesn't win elections. Strong messaging does.
Eg: Hipkins could have pointed out, factually, 90% of last years rated rises were National's fault, they cancelled 3 waters fund.

This. A UBI would have a massive stimulating effect on the economy. A huge swathe of the population would have both more money and more time to invest in new projects.

I am accepting political reality: in the current situation with public service and the economy, we need better from Labour than what we are getting.
If we "can't change the government without Labour", all the more reason to be critical if what Labour is doing isn't good enough.

Your only argument has been "Labour needed". I have offered a bunch of reasons why that is not so. Your loyalty to the party is admirable, but it gets in the way of seeing the ways in which the party and its leader are doing and saying problematic things.
