A hitchhiker arrives at a deserted diner in the spooky "Stealing Home" by Annika Barranti Klein. After eating a piece of pie and pouring herself coffee, a customer arrives. He assumes she works there, and she serves him as if she does. It turns out that she does belong there. One wants to say it ends on an upbeat note but must accept this is not this first time this sequence has played out. A nicely Twilight Zone-esque piece.
