Um so I wrote something like 14k today somehow (not sure how much exactly, it turned midnight and Scrivener rolled over on me before I could check the last time, grrr). But MIRACLE GIRL now has a real first draft of 61k!

Most of my days recently have been 0k so I think I was storing it up

Amen she said holding her hands out and accepting the wafer then placing the flat unleavened bread on her tongue. It tasted like paper as usual but there was something comforting about that and anyway she hadn't eaten yet had nothing but coffee with some creamer so it helped to settle her sour stomach. God listen to her talking abou the body of christ like it was an antacid. lucia would have been scandalized. or maybe she'd have laughed. it was always hard to know which traditions her grandmother was soft on and which she carried with an iron fist.

I'm at 9.1k for the day and 56.1k total.

I can't believe it. I haven't written in a week (covid). This feels so freaking GOOD.

All I'll say on the political front (bc bluesky is my safe space) is this

There is nothing you can control now except yourself. Don't doomscroll yourself into oblivion. Focus on what you CAN do, like calling reps and donating to on-the-ground activism and doing on-the-ground activism
