Η λογοκρισία στις τέχνες, έχει μακρά ιστορία. Ακόμα και σε μια τόσο "νέα" τέχνη όπως τα κόμικς, έπαιξε σημαντικό ρόλο στο πως εξελίχθηκαν. Το Comics Code Authority (ΗΠΑ) έχει υπάρξει η πιο σκοτεινή στιγμή τους μέχρι σήμερα.
