Is it all just beans? Was I born to be a bean counter in this life?

I've tried other genres, like sandbox games, simulations, adventure games, visual novels etc. But I don't know why, I've just never gotten that much into them. And I always feel sad after a while when I explore too much. I want to like different games, but I don't know how.

I like Challenge Mode in PSO. But even that has bean counting involved. Chopping beans, shooting beans, stabbing beans...

When I played League of Legends, last hits were a very important mechanic. It's like collecting beans, but also fighting with other players to make them collect less, or so you can collect more, and then later, whether you are strong in teamfights depends on how many beans you've collected earlier.

I like a turn-based game called Battle for Wesnoth. It's around 20 years old. All the combat outcomes are probabilistic, so it's like statistics math with beans.

For example, I like roguelikes a lot. But a lot of the gameplay there is in careful resource planning - how many potions, how much gold, how many items you have. You're counting the beans, trying to conserve them until they're needed, and always trying to get more of them.

Recently I realized most of the games I've enjoyed are basically bean counters. I have complicated feelings about that.

I always feed Sol Atomizer to my mag on purpose in c7, c8. It increases mag synchro by 4%, must be their favorite food.

it wasn't as bad as we thought it might be lol. The first nano dragon in 1c2 took around 3 minutes to kill. The second one took maybe 2 minutes because I was level 6. We were lucky to find a good lockgun for the first belra in c7 otherwise I think we might have been softlocked.

I discovered Epic: The Musical earlier this week and I can't stop listening to it. The tracks are full of drama and passion. It's really great. I wish the lyrics had been translated to Japanese so I could share it with my Japanese friends.

新しく作ったHUctでC1から開始、全部通さず適当に切り上げようと思ってたのだけど、皆様とても上手で快速快適だったのでいつの間にかC9まで通してしまってた。トータル3時間12分55秒は速いね 楽しかった～！

こういうクラス構成だったり、動きを把握できていない人とのチャレはFOが一番大変なのだけど(だから私はこんな状況はFOやらない)、ご家族のFOは本当によく頑張ってた。偉かった

It was really fun for us as well. We noticed you guys don't use addons and were talking in our own voice chat about how to place items so you can get them. It was also cool to observe the tactics you use. For example, in the dark room in 1c5, Mewkey copied your way of putting a trap in the middle.

2c4 with racl 2hunl. i never knew this before but HUnl can actually get 1 shotted from full hp (!!) by Sinow Zoas at the start. After this, our fourth player disconnected. I don't know if it actually helps, but I opened the brave barrier box at the start. 2 DFP helps if you believe it helps lol

also btw i like to use digrinder early on the starting brand. HUmar saber +2 can HHH boomas at lv1 and lv2 if it hits. Incidentally I also digrinder the starting brand +5 in c6 if there is no shifta

And HUmar foie or zonde is still pretty useful because you can combo some enemies better if you have those. For example, Booma foie + NNH, or savage wolf NHH + zonde, or 2 foie rappy. Foie can also scare rappy at max distance with just a single cast

FOnl can 2 foie savage wolves and 3 zonde barbarous wolves with some mind mats. I forgot how much exactly is needed

Foie is also okay for breaking boxes. Because projectiles are often desynced, Foie can break 2 or 3 boxes in the same cast lol

also as a side note, barta is extremely useful for breaking boxes. Whenever I find early barta, I use it to break multiple boxes together
