Like, yeah, if you ever watched the movie and wondered why they randomly broke out into song three times, it’s because the whole movie was supposed to be a three hour musical.

A few things that were cut from Hook:

- more detailed backgrounds for every lost boy.

- Maggie serving as a den mother for a bunch of pirates, similar to Wendy and the lost boys.

- musical scores; although some of them still remain in the movie.

Tangentially related, but I’m forever sad that Hook was a pale imitation of the movie Spielberg wanted it to be. I really wish we lived in the universe where it was a three hour Hollywood epic.
