For some reason always saw them on good bills. Felt and Miaow and then Loop in 1987, plus East Village and that Creation All Dayer in 1988.

Saw them the following week at those run of gigs they did at the ICA in London. The night I went we got The Lilac Time and Pete Astor as support.

I bought a great Family Cat compilation a few years ago but Tom Verlaine was the only single (12”) I bought at the time. Sought it out purely because of the title.

Moose and Weather Prophets were the two I bought at the time.

That David Nolan book is a great read. Most of those who claim to have been at the first one were only at the second.
