Heading out on tour with an ensemble in Spring! It’s not something I’m able to do too often so, if we’re in your ‘hood, hope you’ll consider sharing a show with us. 🙌 Any sharez would be appreciated. 🙏 ✌️

I bought a great Family Cat compilation a few years ago but Tom Verlaine was the only single (12”) I bought at the time. Sought it out purely because of the title.

Mine was the United Kingdom/California cd in ‘89. Probably after reading a Melody Maker review.

Saw The Nightingales last night. One hour give or take a minute or two . No intros, no banter.

Yikes. Talking Heads would be my no 6. Anytime between 1980-85.

That David Nolan book is a great read. Most of those who claim to have been at the first one were only at the second.

Sadly not as I loved them. Tom Verlaine, Killing Joke and Japan were all supposed to play on the Sunday but all pulled out. GO4 were drafted in as last minute headliners

I went to the Daze Of Future Past two day thing at the same venue in 1981. Beyond horrible venue but got to see The Bunnymen, The Cramps, GO4, Bauhaus and Altered Images amongst others.

It’s always been rated by me, maybe top 3. Saw them do most of it at Birmingham Powehouse, late ‘86 which probably helped cement it as a favourite.
