The Elizabeth Line was run by MTR of Hong Kong. They have been replaced by a consortium of GoAhead and a Japanese metro company. So the Hong Kong experience has already been used to get it running.

Great to see the work progressing on Streatham Hill.

The A23 here has a terrible safety record. Tragically, 3 people have been killed in the area. There've been over 70 collisions in last 3 yrs.

This scheme will make it safer for everyone with new bike lanes & ped crossings.

We ask everyone outside of the car to be safe so that drivers can be dangerous.

Thatโ€™s the entirety of our approach to road safety.

If only HS2 to Leeds and York had not been cancelled, most of the inter city trains would have been diverted, freeing capacity for more local trains.

Excellent well researched and presented history of the rise and fall of fascism in the 1970s in London. Frightening to see headlines identical to now. Include very strong language when verbatim quoting but valid in context. youtu.be/XeHviTKEqSo?...

And Crews Hill has an underused station on the Stevenage-Hertford-Finsbury Park-Moorgate line. So much better than building in the middle of no where and trying to put the railway in in years later like at Skelmersdale or Cambourne.

HS2 had Sunak not cancelled the vital bit to Manchester Piccadilly, would have removed long distance trains from the line through Stockport, freeing slots for more trains from Macclesfield into Manchster. Just needs some joined up French style planning.

Gains from safer cars (air bags, side impact) seat belts being compulsory for all, breathalysers and speed cameras. However, this has all been done and doesn't protect vulnerable road users. Being hit by a car at 40mph will kill you. So we need to deal with speed as the top contributory factor.

Stop every campaign/effort telling people on bicycles/pedestrians and anyone outside the car how to be safe and divert ALL resources to remove every opportunity for drivers to be dangerous.

The truth: we need migration.

The problem: too many politicians are terrified to say it.

Why? They're led by a) toxicity of the charlatans & b) wealthy media organisations who demand these useful distractions rather than us talking about inequality.

Reject it. Draw the line.

In a strongly worded speech to a rally opening the partyโ€™s annual conference in Bournemouth, Tim Farron, a former leader who now speaks for the party on the environment and rural affairs, said national flags should never be โ€œused to intimidateโ€.
