Kojima's cutscene direction is so evocative and assured - I feel that he is at the height of his creativity. I also think he has moved on from MGSV finally, using this game as the medium to do so.

However I finished it, and I would say it's somewhere between MG2 and MGS2 in terms of remaking the original work. Improves on it in every single way like MG2 with a point but the point is not the entire game like MGS2.

Death Stranding 2 alienated me at first. I really loved the first game and it felt like a remake in a way - Kojima has done that before for sure but this felt like it didn't have a purpose.

Death Stranding 2 is giving me conflicting feelings.

Saw Cronenberg's The Shrouds. Really interested by the breadth of topics he wants to cover - AI, tech gurus, sex while being sick, anti-China sentiment. Old man observations. Still the best at doing sex scenes

Got a new laptop and decided to emulate Snatcher to play it on my TV and wound up playing the whole game. What a classic. It is such a shame that Kojima never got to re-release it and Policenauts before the Konami shitstorm went down. Suda51's Sdatcher is great too.

I finished A Realm Reborn. Truly classic FF in every sense. Definitely a change of pace for me not being an MMO guy but easy to get addicted. Haven't played a game like that in a while, even did a 9.5 hour session straight through.
