Today marked the 2nd worst day of my life when today in 2020, my group of 7 dear friends were hit by the impaired driver of a truck who was high on cocaine killing my dear friend instantly while we were riding. We rode to honour the memory of my friend Arthur who was killed. 💝

I got one on a crow. The contrast between its black feathers and the white membrane and blood vessels was really cool.

Love when I capture the nictitating membrane in that light and one can see how highly vascularized it is.

Hopefully not. It usually is there during the winter months but then moves on as they start to seek mates for breeding and raising young as spring is around the corner.

I went looking to see if the barred owl was home and found someone else squatting there instead, not sure it’s the smartest choice to do so …
