She shouted “ughh, Ashley!” Before walking away in a tizzy. I thought for sure she was going straight to HR but she didn’t.

One morning I got her really good, she was frazzled (and she had a tendency to frazzle anyway) and she said, “I’m just going to run and get some coffee.” Of course I said, “oh Diane, on your way can you grab me something.” She said “sure” I said “thanks, one covfefe, please”

And I truly mean every single day. I had a desk calendar that I marked with a 🖤 every time I asked her.

My 13 (!) year old got his tongue twisted talking about my coffee this morning and said “covfefe” and I almost cried laughing linking about Diane. So I had to explain to him what I knew of covfefe. Anyway, got flooded with those memories today so had to share.

Every single morning for 4 months I asked my desk neighbor Diane, an enthusiastic tr*mp supporter if she had her covfefe yet today. For another 3.5 months I would ask her at random points through the day. She gave me the same scowl/eye roll combo every time and this exchange never got old to me.

Well where was Tom when he was needed again?!
