The attitude of the riders has been lovely. I've not had a single complaint, the riders have been patient while we've sorted beds, food, drink, and all the other things that keep the event going. I've had thank yous from so many, and some have even asked how I am. It's been a pleasure so far.

Sensible decision - I rode up to Pickering after my shift at Malton finished and the crosswind then made going up the A169 more interesting than it should have been.
I'm driving back to Malton for my shift tonight.

Nope. Worked out much cheaper to buy three separate tickets, and one of those is a split ticket.

You could take the path over the M5 bridge from Pill as well Will, and return to Bristol through Shirehampton and down the Portway. Shared path all along the Portway.

Yes, I went to Threads initially after deleting Twitter but ended up here.

I do. I replace tubes while riding, and add the punctured ones to the "for repair" bag when I get home. Have a patching session every few months and replenish the saddle bags.

That'll be a standard BSA threaded bottom bracket. Axle length of the BB will depend on the chainset you fit.

That's right. My plan was to stop at the café in the village, but I started late and it was closed by the time I got there. So it was a traditional Audax style stop instead - pasty and drink from the garage at Nunney Catch services.

Seems to be a theme with Aldi, pushing the floor staff to treat customers with suspicion.
While shopping in Aldi my wife was asked by a manager to put an object in her trolley; apparently it was to see that the checkout staff were checking trollies properly. My wife refused.
