I don’t find this offensive. It may be controversial but I think it is kind of a creative outrageous idea. It is historical… we don’t get upset by beheaded Marie Antoinette… when is it too soon vs. not?

I didn’t make fun of his ad. He seems sincere and as I know nothing about him I don’t know of any hypocrisy. I was just commenting that too many use religious devotion as a costume, or act as if those who have misfortune deserve it by a lack of faith.

It is the performative aspect of the calling out their faith that is worth ridiculing. A Christian that lives honestly & non hypocritically is fine. When they think they are being given special privileges by a “sky dad” because they have specialness better than the rest of us I will lampoon them.
