How long ago was sct? Typically taste is changed, and nausea can be an issue. Keep hydrated and eat whatever foods you like for a few months until things settle. Move around for small amounts frequently rather than a walk if walking is difficult. Anything seems wrong, check with his treatment team.

I had a stem cell transplant in Jan 22. I was very scared leading up to it reading people’s experiences. I got lucky, no major issues and out of hospital in 13 days. Make sure hubby sucks on ice before,during and after the melphalan to reduce mucositis. Drink plenty of water/fluids.

Dormant until it gathers enough cells to be active on tests again. If you’re one of the lucky ones it stays at low levels for a long time. I’ve been on active treatment or maintenance since diagnosis for over 3 years, on my third line of treatment, never experienced a period of dormancy.

I’ve had one, I remember the real fear beforehand. I kept telling myself they wouldn’t do it unless they thought it would work. Some really hard days around day 8-12 for me, but I got there. Wishing you all the best.
