Honestly, at this point, how can we be sure they aren't funding SNAP because they already used the emergency funds on something else? The bathroom, the ballroom, the bailout of Argentina... It's very possible those funds are long gone and caked in marble.

The optics of Trump building a ballroom that 99.9% of Americans will never set foot in while millions line up for food banks are worth more than any policy paper or economic proposal. This image is a visceral punch in the mouth that needs no words. It should haunt the GOP for a generation.

The NC GOP just pushed through another gerrymandered map—because they can’t win fair elections.

It’s cheating, and it’s a disgrace. Voters should choose their representatives, not the other way around.

Speaker Hall just said there likely won’t be any more recorded votes in the NC House this year.

Translation: Republicans are clocking out without passing a budget (their core responsibility).

..but they found time to rig maps for the 7th time.

It's official: North Carolina's Republican-controlled Legislature just passed a new congressional map designed to give the GOP an extra House seat.

This is the third state to follow Trump's gerrymandering demand, following Texas and Missouri.

If North Carolina enacts this new map, it will be sued.
