This elicited a soft gasp of pleasure from the knight.

The tail movement was so cute. She gently pet the other affectionately.

"I suppose thats true. I don't really know what happened to me. Just what i was told."

Taking a moment to think.

"Would it be inappropriate to ask to have your company a bit longer. I find you very interesting~!"

She cleared her throat and nodded at the correction.

"That's so sad. I'm sorry." She said her eyes were sad.

She fiddled with her fingers.

"Well i am happy to meet you duchess!"

"Dutchess!? How fancy, but how have you forgotten your name? That seems odd."

She said a little worry in her eyes.

"Arsi.." her tone quiet she was a tad bit nervous.

"You're name?" She requested.

"My scar.. i suppose." She admitted softly.

She waved off the compliment.

"You lost you life? You seem alive to me." She said confused.

Though she was not familiar.

Well yes... i didn't think you could hear me. I'm so sorry."

She bowed quickly.

"Though aiming for second best is a surprise most want to be an S rank. Since it's so hard to get to."

"Most likely, Though everyone new starts there unless entered in from another source like a knights of a city, or stuff like that, high class training and all."

She finally popped the berries in her mouth.

"Yes, which keeps newbies from dying randomly to high level quests. I am... " she pulls the card from her hip pouch. "D rank, after my injury. I was promptly demoted down." She stated.

"Oh sure." she held her hand out.

"Well a guild just allows us to work much easier. while with out one we'd be convincing people that we or in this case you, aren't some bandit pretending. so it's a bit of a hassle but well worth it."

"We are heading to the nearest town with a quest board where everyone must start... though we may have to get to a guild to get you signed up."

"If you are sure, and what did you mean by Moss knight?" She asked.

Already guiding him away.

She didn't have a reason to hesitate on leaving and taking him along.

She wasnt nearly as cool as he had hoped.

"I mean i suppose it'll be like I'm starting over again but... im not against the idea."

"No unfortunately, i did fight and lose to a flame elemental... since then ive stuck to pretty mundane quests such as escorting."

"I am, though not bound to a city or anything. At least not anymore. Before my injury i was so i guess i still sorta am a knight."

"Everyone starts somewhere. Most knights start with wooden swords." She added.

"So don't let that hold you back."

After a short while at full sprint she pulled back the reigns and brought them back to a more reasonable speed.

"That was wonderful."

"That's far, nor does it sound all that fun." She said plainly.

"If you want a change I'd be happy to let you tag along."
