Any ceasefire in the war in Ukraine should aim to lead to a peace deal grounded in the fundamental principles that underpin European security. If, instead, such a deal merely reflects realpolitik considerations, it is doomed to fail and will likely result in renewed aggression.

On this International Women’s Day, we celebrate the remarkable contributions of women. In diplomacy, security & governance women play a vital role in building peace, fostering dialogue & ensuring a more just & inclusive world. Let us reaffirm our commitment to empowering women.
