HG Moon Gundam.

Unusual build in places. I was pleasantly surprised to find this kit had a green plastic piece for the eyes and head details rather than relying on stickers, but I'm not so keen on how the ball joint at the shoulder connects to the shoulder plates rather than the arms. #gunpla

And that's the RG Sazabi all done. Hard to believe that after putting off doing transfers/stickers all this time I've now blown through three 100+ jobs in about a fortnight.

Naturally the moment I get all the waterslides on Lunamaria's Zaku BOTH of the shoulder joints decide to break. It's not the first time for one of them so I'm not exactly surprised, but still >:|

Seems to be a known issue with this kit so at least I'm not alone in this.

I've been avoiding working with stickers as much as possible since when I got started with #gunpla 6+ months ago, but now I've finally achieved some character growth and managed to get the 100-ish waterslides on my F91 :D

One down, four (Crossbone X1, Sazabi, Tallgeese, Zaku Gunner) to go.

Came across this masterpiece today in town. Say what you will about modern art but it was definitely drawing a lot of eyes.

There's something really funny to me about Jingliu being stuck in the Evil trio with Jade and Sparkle when she'd probably DESPISE the pair of them and their motives ... not that she likes many people in the first place.

That's some really, really beautiful art. It's got a very dreamlike quality to it with soft lighting and lines in the first two.

The funny thing about switching to Gunpla from 40k is like ... when you remove painting from the equation I can be genuinely productive and get projects finished, but as a result of that I'm blitzing my way through things so quickly that I'm having to put a moratorium on buying new kits XD

So this base feels woefully unprepared to deal with all that weight...

That's the build of the Psycho Zaku finished, some alternate parts aside. Was pretty fun to get though other than a few annoyances like the upper-leg joints. Had to file those down so that the pegs would actually fit.

Decided to play about with some ideas and got this backdrop printed out today. I'm certainly not going to look to make a one-to-one recreation, but I think this might look pretty solid once I've got my hands on the Full Armor Gundam and actually finished everything up.

Thanks. I've got everything on bar the weapons now and there's one or two things that could've turned out better, but on the whole I'm very happy with it :)

Making some okay progress on my HG Psycho Zaku. Kinda crazy that this kit has more parts than the MG Tallgeese, but I guess that's the result of it carrying a whole damn armoury around on its back.

I'd totally endorse giving it a shot if you think you might be into it. Beyond skimming a few episodes to see a particular suit in action I haven't watched any Gundam either.

I've been thinking about getting the MG Barbatos for a while now, but in the end I got the HG Barbatos Lupus because it was right there in my local store (and blessedly cheap!).

I like how it looks irl more than in any of the pictures I've taken, but it's still a very good looking suit.

I wouldn't say I'm tremendously happy with my first round of shots, but here's a pic of my fully-armed Tallgeese.

I'm definitely going to look to get the stickers on the shield, but we'll see if I'm brave enough to tackle anything more after that.

How was this one to build?

No weapons or stickers as yet, but here's the core build of the MG Tallgeese.

Turns out I actually got quite lucky in that this thing takes Action Base #1 and I just so happened to have one lying around that wasn't compatible with the figure I bought it for.

Geara Ghirarga. Not a huge fan of the transparent blue/blue/dark blue/dark grey colour combo as far as contrast is concerned, but it's definitely got a very distinctive look when set alongside most of the other gunpla I've built.

Thought I had absolutely no chance of ever getting one (outside of paying out of pocket on ebay), but I just checked GunplaUK and it seems they suddenly have the 1/100 MG Tallgeese EW back in stock???! I'm fairly certain that wasn't there as recently as yesterday.

Result.

The Guntank was one of the models that really caught my eye when I was first introduced to Gunpla. It's nice to finally be building one.

More than a little bit janky as the upgrade kit's designed for the OOP version of the Gyan rather than the Revive, but I finally have my Gyan Vulcan. I'd definitely appreciate it if they made a standalone kit in the future though.

Didn't set out with any plans of buying more gunpla today, but I'm not exactly going to turn down 50% off for a damaged box, am I?

I think it's horribly unbalanced XD

Really though, mine's leg joints are super loose and that means it's a bit of a battle to keep it from tipping over with how weird its weight distribution can be.

It's a cool design though, so I'd be totally on board with a new version of the kit.

It's looking more than a little cramped right now, but here's the current state of my Gunpla shelf. I know I've got a Guntank (something I've wanted from the start) set aside for Christmas, but atm I think my main priority has to be getting a better set-up.

I'm finishing up my backlog before moving on to other things, so right now that means panel lining my Shin Burning Gundam and going through a bunch of kits to sort out stickers and the like.

Definitely one of my favourite kits. Glad to see you're having a good time with it :)
