Itβs Fatherβs Day here in Aotearoa New Zealand and Iβm spending it building the biggest Lego set Iβve ever seen with my daughter. 10,000 pieces.

What are other nostr app developers and relay operators doing with regard to the UK Online Services Act?
Apparently there is no legal exception for open source or apps that are not connecting to servers you control or apps that are entirely encrypted and peer to peer.

I love how diverse the podcast ecosystem is... look at all these apps! https://episodes.fm/1824528874
I think this is something to aspire to for Nostr. We can have diverse open permisionless social media that's also easy to use and gets widespread adoption!

I think itβd be very different today. I think something like n8n meets pipes that worked with nostr would be really interesting.
Itβs all doable and much easier today than 20 years ago. On pipes we had to figure out how to do a UI using the new HTML canvas and had this crazy system of Perl [β¦]
We need a way to do algorithms which learn from user interactions. Ideally an open system, that users can choose where to give their interaction data and what their algorithms are optimized for. But we can't just put our heads in the sand and ignore their existence. All of the A/B studies where [β¦]

Samsung has released a vacuum cleaner with built in screen that lets you do texting and phone calls while vacuuming! This is worse than the LED screens on fridges. Who on earth needs to make phone calls WHILE vacuuming!? Donβt you already have your phone in your pocket, and you know, vacuums [β¦]

Live TV is so surrealβ¦ anyway, hereβs a screencap of my live interview on CNNβ¦. I got Nostr mentioned! Protocols are the future, we just need to build it.
Iβll be back on CNN live at the top of the hour, in 20 minutes, talking about the Breaking the Bird documentary. Twitter should always have been a protocol, and now we have that. Weβll see what iβm able to get in, these things go so fast.
30.03.2025 19:41 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I believe we need some fundamental rights on any social media platform or protocol we use.
The rights are:
1. Privacy & Security
2. Ownership
3. Interoperability
4. Algorithmic Control
5. Self-Governance
Iβve created a little website to campaign for these rights at https://rights.social.
