Ugh, this week has been a total bust. Health has been at a low, fatigue has been at a high, streams have been non-existent. Really hate when things like this happen, makes me feel like crap in more than one way.

OH BOY! Hip pain, stiff neck AND my voice being partially gone? Gee, what a swell gift my body has given me today.

Can't say I noticed too much, since I've not watched too many episodes yet. But can't say I would be too surprised to see other sci-fi franchises using things from other sci-fi shows as inspiration. Just look at how often Star Trek and Doctor Who get used over the decades.

When it comes to checking out a series for the first time, I tend to want to watch in release order. Mainly because i want to get a feel for what the status quo is and get to know the characters.

I may still give more episodes a chance, but probably gonna let the 1st one percolate a bit first.

I will give credit though, the alien designs for the most part are pretty great. Not a fan of the Centari, but the Narn and a lot of the other aliens are well done. Definitely a strong suit in the costume and makeup department. But yea, beyond that I'm kinda meh on B5 after different starts.

The storytelling in the first episode felt disjointed in ways and the plots were kind of all over the place at times. I knew the moment they said something about the raiders having bigger weapons who the connection would be. The episode also felt meandering at times. I don't know, maybe it's me?

So I tried to watch the first episode of Babylon 5. I'd already seen the pilot episodes because I was curious a while back, but decided to give the official start a look. Gotta say...it really didn't grab me. I know that people compare it and DS9 a lot, but DS9 did far better with "Emissary".

Looks like there was a Halloween sacrifice today in the media world. MTV's Ridiculousness was officially cancelled today. Hopefully that means a great fall harvest?

The Timeless Child, to me personally, is the WORST retcon to have ever happened to the show. Like, I could've dealt with the Cartmel Masterplan idea because there was still limitations involved. But the Timeless Child has ZERO limits. And the addition of pre-Hartnell "Doctors" just doesn't sit well.

I was more positive towards it when I first saw it. But as time went on my opinion shifting towards the more negative. I really do think part of it was that I REALLY didn't like The Last Jedi. I still don't like it, but I also don't really like The Rise of Skywalker either. At least Ep7 was ok.
