Look at the drastic cuts President Trump asked Congress to throw at the CDC.

He wanted zeroing out of all funding for chronic diseases, birth defects/developmental disorders, and injury prevention, and occupational health and a 65% reduction for environmental health at CDC...

Taxpayers foot 63% of crop insurance payouts & climate change is driving up costs. Far less funding goes to conservation practices which could help lower those costs.

There is no justification for this. None.
