fitting more (mostly recent) ocs onto the chart i made for this before is making me realise i need to make more ocs who are wretched foul creatures, the upper-left quadrant is getting too cramped

also i know, sus concept and all but like
as a big guy enjoyer and a tahm kench main (when i used to play anyway) i think i'm allowed 1 (one) oc themed around this kind of thing

this ended up in a very different direction to my original intent and the design definitely needs some work, but i think i have a good role in mind for this fella

definitely unrelated, i should totally make a travelling gourmand oc sometime that'd be cool i think

but of course that relies on the assumption i'll be in the mood for that after the aforementioned new tablet arrives

never been one to bother with tutorials or practice but this'd probably be a good excuse to grab a bunch of tutorials on things i've never bothered with (clothing folds, more detailed shading, and so on) and try to work them into an updated art style

i've also been planning on experimenting with my art style to figure out something that looks cooler or at least takes less time for close to a decade now, so maybe this'll be what finally motivates me to do so

and my projects usually involve a lot of drawing, which basically every time ends up being what puts me off from working on them, because at my current rate, having to draw dozens of character sprites for a game is an insurmountable obstacle

still wouldn't end up being like, super often, because between the adhd and having a lot of hobbies/interests i could never really fully devote myself long-term to a single thing
but even a single proper drawing every month would be a huge improvement

gonna get a bigger tablet that can double as an extra monitor in the hopes it encourages me to draw more often
one of the main things that gets in the way for me is having to disconnect my monitor and connect my tablet every time i want to use it, so i think this'd help a lot

i feel like i'm always shifting position on a scale between "yearning for companionship" and "craving eternal solitude", and sometimes i'm even at both ends simultaneously
maybe someday i'll figure out a way to solve this dilemma

half of these characters i haven't touched in years, and some i've barely ever drawn in general, but they are (or have been in the past) my most beloved blorbos
