Just love someone who is so tickled with their book finds that they post ‘em. I should do that more often. My most recent. Been looking for House of Spirits used and this is a great edition.

We Boomers bent the arc towards justice.

Haha, it’s three stanzas out of order. I messed up posting. It’s inspired by the house behind the parrot. My knitting group meets every Wednesday at Lorri’s house. She’s always apologizing for the forever renovation. Exposed framing and rafters. But it’s a good place—good people—good love.

Yes, yes, true. I didn’t mean take the four patches apart. I meant to keep each as a four patch and separate them from the nine patch so as to rotate them.

Language can be confusing.

It’ll make a fine label though, too.

I used to hate ripping but as I’ve aged I’ve somehow come to terms with it. I can just pick away while I watch the news. You can separate those four-patches pretty quickly.

The first crack in the wall: An ICE agent just quit.

I close my laptop, grab a cup of cinnamon tea and a book off my TBR shelf, open to any page and read. I listen for the hidden messages and clues and tell my brain that my answer is there—my inspiration is there. “Brain,” I softly say, “what is it?”

Never fails. The answer was in my brain already.
