It’s truly not necessary to state a domestic abuser’s rookie stats. How the fuck is that relevant?

I'm glad it's helpful! I'll hopefully get to use it as a reference on my campus, too.

This is a much better version of what I said at a thing where I was asked to say stuff like this, but then never asked to say stuff again.

This might interest anyone who wants 34 links that, when combined, say, "Why are you all trying to put GenAI bullshit on our campus???"

I finished writing it all up: Generative AI βˆ‰ (Teaching βˆͺ Learning). I'm going to keep using this as a reference, incomplete as it is

Incredibly disappointing and also incredibly unsurprising that they didn't allow that. I agree, I've been trying to bring the same perspective to every talk I give there, and especially to the Math Intensive committee

I saw it! The title definitely stuck with me and I am trying my best to replicate it on campus. It's a great title since it's impossible to misinterpret or ignore.

Typing up a big list of facts and sources and it keeps getting longer and wow it's almost like this is a pretty obvious conclusion to make.

Thread 6: The Ito Lemma

Fyi, a lot of what I'll go over today is covered in Chapter 4 of "Stochastic Methods" by Crispin Gardiner, but this is a pretty standard derivation too, and I explained it in a way I think makes more sense. For today I am going to derive Ito's Lemma for you. (1/n)

Some teaching advice I got once was that if a student tells you that "everybody thinks..." or "nobody understands..." about a class, then it's probably just them accidentally projecting their own feelings, or that they are referring to their specific group of friends/peers in the class.

Anyways.

I don't want to know the answer to this, please don't answer this, but what does someone who thinks like this use for like, mid-week-too-tired-to-cook meals if not stir fry and trash tacos?
