I can’t fathom what it’s like having this kind of spare time. But I’m glad this family did so I can enjoy it vicariously.

Tis the season of the relentless email blasts and “you left something in your cart” appeals.

Trump's words, once again, are inflammatory and dangerous. Most won't act on them, but in a nation as big as ours, there's obviously a non-zero number of people troubled enough, and inspired enough, to do so. Trump isn't the only one who does this, but his mic is the loudest.

Can we all agree this character is creepy looking?

I think its very bad for an elected leader to refuse to answer questions based on which credentialed media outlet is asking the questions, when the questions are not remotely unreasonable, and the tone isn't aggressive or impolite. We will long regret setting this standard.

Just incredible what Megyn Kelly thought about and said out loud. I cannot fathom trying to distinguish any of that conduct. It’s all awful.

I’m all for Christmas decorations going up in November, and Christmas music too. But I just saw an elf on the shelf post, and I think we’ve let things go too far.

My house had two sets of triplets hanging out today. Our boys, and a set of sisters that were born a few days later. They’ll hopefully be friends for life. Such a cool life we get to experience. Tough some days, but awfully special.

I hope the hostages are all released and the peace holds.

I hope the Democrats, when they eventually return to power, will remember all this awfulness and desire to govern responsibly and respectfully, not cater to the whims of their most online fringes. But I doubt it. Which is one reason why I wish the GOP would set a better example.

My Monday starting out with somebody hitting reply all when they shouldn’t have.

Everyone should work to lower the temperature on their own side. Certainly online, but more importantly in person, at local gatherings and in one-on-one conversations, in text threads, with friends and peers. Hold one another to account.

Now, it’s fall.
