The painting is done sticking to the pose of the original sprite, but mimicking artist Ken Sugimori's watercolor-style, and keeping the form of the Pokémon more closely to its official non-sprite art of the time.

Sandslash is one of those Nostalgic ones for me because it was one of the first Tomy figures I got when just starting to learn about Pokémon

I'm glad I started thinking about this because I just came up with a cool plot element 😁

Maybe that's not a huge deal in my story... I do kinda have an answer but how would you do this for something on a grander scale? Just don't think about it? I know Star Wars likes to act like most of not all the planets are synced up with the same rotation speed
