What's crazy is that Anthropic ceo Amodei was OpenAI's VP.. but they parted ways on ethics. I mean if you really delve into it, the people that own these foundational models are the new titans in our future world. We really need to pay attention to that. ALL the other AI stuff stems from them.

That's Microsoft. But the "Foundational" models are OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google. The others (Copilot, Meta, Groc etc) came after.

You have a choice with these foundational models that literally ALL other AI is built from... I'm just suggesting that the owner of the data is the power lord. Trust that lord to someone with a more altruistic path.

Anthropic (Claude) was started by people who left OpenAI because they wanted to focus more on safety and ethics. They built something called a 'Constitutional AI.' It has a literal set of values it follows so it doesn't go off the rails.

Gemini is powered by Google DeepMind. These are the scientists who actually solved how proteins fold to cure diseases. They aren't just 'tech bros'; they are deep researchers. Because it's Google, it’s already integrated into the tools we use—and they have th emoney.

To think Amodei’s whole reason for Anthropic’s AI putting up guardrails and following a Constitution was because he didn’t want his AI running amuck in Authoritarian hands. He just didn’t realize the US would be that.
