r/antiship 7 days ago [deleted] Join 000 Why does EVERY fucking therapist I see always say that fiction is a healthy coping mechanism and acceptable outlet no matter vhat. I'm getting so sick of this. I posted here before years ago and got royally shit on so I'm not going to share details about myself but this has been going on for years. I am THE poster child for "fiction affects reality", l've been affected in ways that I'm not sure if therapy can even fix, but even if it could, they sure aren't helping by basicallv defending proshipping and saying just because I was negatively affected by something doesn't mean it's "bad". Like I wil straight up tell them you're defending csam right now that's such a bad look, and then they willtell me it's a cognitive distortion. I am purposely avoiding anyone who advertises "art therapy" since that's guaranteed to support it but even regular therapists who don't do art are saying this shit!! This is like the fifth therapist I've tried to see since this became an issue and she just said all this tonight and I don't want it to be a dealbreaker AGAIN but how can I ever get help everyone In this field seems to live proshipping so damn much, seriously.

Unfinished polymer clay sculpture of the stimky deer cryptid. I have the left front and back legs bulked out, the others are still spindly. Wanted to sculpt the head... And speaking of the head, I had never used painted cabochons to make eyes for something like this and I thank Nukawin for the idea because I think they end up looking much creepier than if I had just sculpted and painted them like I normally do.

He's still a little bare bones but I was inspired by @liderleelonelee.bsky.social 's sculpts of the Radioapple #CryptidAU from @jetsamjunk.bsky.social and wanted to take a shot at them myself. Only have Alastor in progress at the moment

45. Weirdest thing you've ever made? - probably this 4ft tall floppy Alastor ragdoll. his mouth is NOS 1940s radio grille fabric & he has antique button accents. i redid his face multiple times during by just sewing over the old ones, so he just has like 3 other faces under there.
