Game 7 - Gears of War: Reloaded (2025)
Played through the campaign in co-op with my brother which was mostly fun, occasionally frustrating. 😅
On an unrelated note I’m taking applications for a new co-op partner.
Game 6 - Ninja Gaiden Ragebound (2025, replay)
Felt like revisiting this for another run through. Action is still tight, platforming is still tricky. Game still looks and sounds fantastic. 🥷
Game 5 - Dragon Quest VII Reimagined (2026)
First 2026 release completed for the year. I had never played the original PSX version or the 3DS remake before so came into this fresh. Really enjoyed this one.

I really don’t know how to explain this one. It’s weird, it’s short, and I kind of liked it? Why visit a lighthouse when you can be the lighthouse.

Game 3 - Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (2025)
I really enjoyed this game. Not bad to look at either. Each of the biomes had a distinct feel and their own unique challenges. The desert in the middle didn’t ruin it for me but could have done without it.
Game 2 - Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (2025)
Almost everybody’s game of the year last year and I finally understand why. At times I felt whee, but I mostly felt whoo. Overall it was pretty amazing.
