Yeah, really lays bear their strategy of- we aren’t going to have free and fair elections so they don’t really care. I’m also pretty sure in the long run, it won’t matter if it’s popular, it will only matter how they make people feel.

If someone gets an SBT and I expect them to pass, and no one can explain why, I often repeat so I can see myself, OR I repeat and see if I can manage a symptom like agitation or tachypnea so they can pass.

This is such a huge problem, and can undermine review papers. We spend so much time dissecting papers, and then when a review paper comes out, all of that nuance is gone. It really highlights the need for expertise and context when interpreting anything.

Intifada specifically conjures those specific acts of violence, and he did the work of associating it with violence, even justifying a phrase. It’s really easy to say - I disagree with the phrase keep that answer and move on, and he won’t

I’ve heard it many times. The 2 prior intifadas were extremely violent. So I think my experience is different than yours which may shadow some of this. He himself said the word was used by the holocaust museum to describe the Warsaw ghetto uprising. Also he isn’t making the argument it’s obscure.

It’s not a one off at a rally it’s a prominent expression of a movement that he has made a part of his political brand. It’s an expression used to justify violence. It would be one thing if he hasn’t been involved since college, but he has, and it’s a loud part of a movement he is part of.

He has been at several post October 7th rallies, he is involved in anti Israel legislature. This wasn’t “a thing he did in college”- his views on this are clear.
I think, within my ability to try to find news and be educated, I’d hold anyone to that standard.

No im saying that bc he founded his colleges chapter of SJP and he has spoken prominently about the BDS movement. He can decide to distance himself from the current movement…if he wanted to.

His not saying anything…says a lot…

It’s one of the most prominent slogans from a movement that he has prominently associated himself with…and will he excuse violence if it it’s pro Palestinian? He has a chance to say now that he won’t.
