Identifying knowledge barriers to agroforestry adoption and coβdesigning solutions to them
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog.
Agroforestry can benefit the environment & production, so why isn't it more widely adopted?π³π
Knowledge is a major barrier to uptake! We worked with 75 UK stakeholders to identify barriers & co-design solutions

Researching regen approaches gaining speed
Practical experience has outstripped research results within the regenerative farming world, but thatβs slowly changing.
Cover crops are good for the soil!π±πΎ
Our UK trials found 53% increase in πͺ±during cover cropping and 66% in the subsequent crop.
Andπ·οΈincreased by 26%!

Excited to be presenting results from the SHOWCASE project and Agroforestry Group this month!
Our farm trials across England have shown cover crops can increase earthworms by 65% in the following cash crops! AND agroforestry promotes worms too, especially in drought years π
Hope to see you there!πΎ
