You're right George. I've just put my Red Mason bee pupae outside (they were in my fridge, before) There should be enough forage in bloom for them now. 🀞

I found a similar site where birds had eaten Banded Demoiselle Damselflies - hundreds of wings left.

Fab footage Ben..Why can't you look at them when they're entering their hedge? Do they see it as a threat?

Did u know? You needn't get the ick if you accidentally dig something unusual up in your garden, like this handsome Ghost moth πŸ› (they live on roots of weeds for 2 years, until they're heavy enough to pupate, then turn into an adult)Just gently cover them back up to complete their lifecycle. πŸŒ±πŸŒΏπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸŒ±πŸ›πŸ¦‹πŸͺ²πŸŒ

Did u know? This is what happens when you don't raze your garden to the ground in readiness for winter - i.e cutting seed heads off, clearing out plant pots, pruning spent stems & dead branches. If you leave stuff, then winter feeding insects like the Angle Shades moth larva still have food. πŸŒΏπŸŒ±πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸŒ±πŸŒπŸͺ²πŸ›

What a beauty. Yes, when we put our badger food out in the evening, we have to use a torch on the ground, for fear of tramples. Here's a gorgeous dude found in our garden.

I know where you're coming from here, but don't take your spent stems to the tip, pile them up in a corner where small souls can come out when they're ready. ☺️πŸͺ²

Did u know?Nature needs *messy* to hide in,hunt in & proliferate in. Don't drive to the tip with your *rubbish* , pile it up in a corner of your outside space. Beetle larvae & countless other invertebrates & all sorts of amphibians & other small souls will move in & enrich your biodiversity.πŸŒΏπŸŒ±πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸŒ±πŸŒπŸͺ²πŸ¦ŽπŸΈ
