Yes, and Trump is a threat to a free press. With the current censorship that has been going on, it’s no surprise that he’s coming for the press as well. Throughout his campaign, and even before, he has said he wants to revoke licences due to a ‘threat to democracy’ and ‘fake news’. He is in control

I feel as if people are forgetting that Trump is a threat to press freedom in America. He believes they share ‘fake news’ - he’s already shown us that he is not messing around. They’re not going to say ‘Yes. Elon Musk did a Hitler Salute’ but they’re still reporting on it, they’re not doing nothing.

When you’re reporting, there are many laws you have to follow so no one gets in any legal trouble.

There are now people who hold a lot of power, and would happily sue for defamation/straight up jail journalists. They’re reporting it, pointing it out, but can’t legally say ‘he did a nazi salut’.
