π± Today I caught my radishes just as they began thinking about radishing! So to speak.

19.09.2025 07:05 β π 30 π 2 π¬ 0 π 1Just to cover all bases of the Transformers fan market, I'm considering doing an art book of various characters being indifferent towards each other.
Red hot action of robots passing each other in corridors, not acknowledging each other in lifts, that sort of thing.
Smoke out the REAL perverts.
She's such an inviting colour! Is this fully ripe?
12.07.2025 12:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Dusk photograph taken from a bridge facing west over the Yarra.
During winter it feels like it's dark whenever I'm coming or going. Here's a photo from back in April when DUSK was still a real thing.
04.07.2025 04:53 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A photo of the natural science museum in South Kensington, as seen from the garden.
Travelling right now. There are so many pretty old buildings here. This is the natural science museum, and if you get closer you can see all these incredibly cute details of plants and animals in the building's design.
04.10.2024 08:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I went to the Royal Melbourne Show today. There was so much fancy artisan gin, it's really having a moment right now. Predictably I made my own showbag of gin and cheeses, and then took myself off to watch the showjumping. :)

Yesterday's sake flights! :3

They are AWESOME.
You purchase one, and you OWN IT. It's like, THERE right on your shelf.
It doesn't require regular online patches.
You don't need to be online to read it.
Books fucking RULE.
In my experience, a marketing team is a little like the fair folk. It's not that you really believe they're out there doing anything significant... but when you see a mushroom ring, you step around it, not through it.
18.04.2024 01:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Photograph: a vibrantly coloured negroni on a wooden table.
I was out at the Lume's Leonardo da Vinci exhibit but all I photographed was my drink. Typical.

Congratulations to the new parents in my community. π

I got a little tea setting for one while I was out today. It's really cute!

28.11.2023 13:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Photo: A staked tomato plant with small black fruits beginning to show. The lower leaves are getting very ragged.
π± My second variety of cherry tomatoes is starting to fruit. I did not realise they would be so dark from the outset... I wonder how I'll know when they're ripe? I usually judge by colour!
28.11.2023 09:19 β π 10 π 0 π¬ 3 π 0Next up is something called 'The Once and Future Witches,' by Alix E. Harrow, a writer I know nothing whatsoever about. βοΈ
25.11.2023 04:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Three books piled on an outdoor chair: 'A Deadly Education,' and 'The Last Graduate,' are on the bottom and 'The Golden Enclaves,' is open on top. There's plants and skyline in the background.
Emerged from my end-of-term "never reading anything again" slump to pick up some light reading for fun. Naomi Novik's Scholomance Trilogy is a love letter to Ursula K Le Guin's 'The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas'. If you like that kind of thing, it comes recommended.
25.11.2023 04:11 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0I've become the kind of very boring person who occupies themselves with thoughts like, "Oh, an em dash to introduce a new clause in the very introductory paragraph of a government consultation paper? That's a bold move, I'm not sure I'd have done that."
14.11.2023 00:50 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Two rainbow lorikeets in the hollow of a plane tree.
Very cute lorikeets in the CBD today.
01.11.2023 21:39 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I've been meaning to catch that one! From the ads I saw it looked like it was really going to, you know, do something so ridiculous but play it so straight.
28.10.2023 05:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Hill sprints always sound so seductively easy on paper. "They're so short! You'll be done so fast!" Yeah, there's a reason they're over so fast... it's because YOU'RE going so fast. Uphill. On repeat. π
28.10.2023 05:11 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A very green matcha latte on a wooden table.
Outside, it's raining like the sky is falling. But I'm cosy inside having a delightful matcha latte with @lofii.bsky.social :) :)
25.10.2023 02:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0These big ornamental kales are so cool! I love the look of them... and I am so excited to see someone growing them in the wild (well, in the wilds of the gardening feed anyway) because I've only seen them in seed catalogues otherwise, haha.

I'm trying one of the little bottles out of the gin sampler I got at the show last week! It's definitely honey sweet, but there's a pleasantly botanical vibe too.

I went off to the royal show this week. It's the first time I've attended in many years but I was delighted to catch the show hunters, watch a blacksmith make horseshoes, and look at all the incredible crafts on display. And I got to meet sooo many sweet ambassador animals.

Bram Stoker's Dracula is perhaps one of the most well-known gothic horror novels of the 19th century. Whilst it was not the first novel depicting vampires, it certainly dominates the genre and has inspired generations of stories about blood-drinking creatures of the night.
