Being a fulltime artist is MESSY. I’ve added teaching classes to my schedule as well, so I’m constantly running out of room for storage and the way I use my studio is constantly evolving. I’ll be reorganizing my studio again this weekend! WIP for an upcoming class.

I’m blacking out tomorrow.

Tonight, I’m extending gratitude. Thankful for a local community who wants to grow, thankful for the community I’ve established over the past few years, and thankful for the familial “teacher gene” that I thought had escaped me but is now a huge part of my being.

I taught a God and Goddess doll workshop Friday night, and as always, was blown away by the creativity and uniqueness of the students! It was also my biggest class to date. 🖤

I’m not even sure exactly what’s happening with this, but I do know it will be serve a big dose of weird.

I feel like for the past year or so, a lot of the dolls and art I’ve created were made with the intention to appeal to the public. I made some cool pieces, and have experimented with new techniques, but you know…it’s time for shit to get weird.

I want to so bad. It would be terrible for my art business though, especially when it comes to advertising classes and such. I’m hoping to get rid of it in the not-so-distant future.
