'Best Performance Ever': Ohtani Sends Dodgers to World Series With Two-Way Outing for the Ages Shohei Ohtani launched three home runs as a hitter and struck out 10 as a pitcher in an all-time great postseason performance to end a slump and send the Dodgers to the World Series.

Shohei Ohtani answered questions about the toll that pitching had on his hitting.

Then he responded with “the single best performance in the history of baseball” to send the Dodgers to the World Series.
