Using Supply and Demand to Identify Shortages in the Hearing Health Care Professional Workforce This quality improvement study measures the US hearing health care professional workforce from 2012 to 2022 and identifies areas experiencing shortages in 2019.

We recently published a paper in @jamaotolaryngology.com that studies labor supply for #audiology. We find hearing healthcare is difficult to access: 75.0% of USA counties were classified as shortage counties.

New paper alert! We use claims data to find that paid sick leave mandates in the USA increased a wide array of different healthcare visits, particularly for individuals in industries with low PSL coverage historically, and along the extensive margin of any visit.
