Oh? I lived many years without insurance, income around $15k/year. I saved the money I would have wasted on insurance, and used it for minor doctor visits. When it came to larger bills, including two nights in a hospital, I paid over time, which was same difference as insurace, I figure.

Correction: It's health insurance, not health care.

I can't help but imagine the vast attention this case would have received if the race of the shooter and the victim were reversed.
