It costs taxpayers $89,425 to incarcerate one person at Trump’s “Alligator Alcatraz” per year.

That’s more than what 95% of Americans spend on housing and food.

Republican priorities: Waste tax dollars torturing immigrants, while cutting support for working class families.

VP Vance has cast the deciding vote in the Senate to cut Medicaid, take away food assistance, blow up the deficit, and add tax breaks for the wealthiest.

This bill is unpopular because it is wrong.

Congress votes this week, but it’s our voices - and our votes - that will have the final say.

McGovern: "Let me make a prediction. If this ugly bill passes, it's gonna get a lot uglier when people realize what's in it. And not even Donald Trump's news $300 bottle of cologne will cover the stench ... this isn't policy. It's ego management."

For any Republicans out there-- don't you see what's happening? Your elected officials, drunk with power, are quietly and quickly getting filthy rich. And in exchange, they're cutting your Medicaid, cutting your education funding, cutting SNAP benefits, cutting medical research.

ABA
It has been three weeks since Inauguration Day.
Most Americans recognize that newly elected leaders bring change. That is expected. But most Americans also expect that changes will take place in accordance with the rule of law and in an orderly manner that respects the lives of affected individuals and the work they have been asked to perform.
Instead, we see wide-scale affronts to the rule of law itself, such as attacks on constitutionally protected birthright citizenship, the dismantling of USAID and the attempts to criminalize those who support lawful programs to eliminate bias and enhance diversity.
We have seen attempts at wholesale dismantling of departments and entities created by Congress without seeking the required congressional approval to change the law. There are efforts to dismiss employees with little regard for the law and protections they merit, and social media announcements that disparage and appear to be motivated by a desire to inflame without any stated factual basis. This is chaotic. It may appeal to a few.
But it is wrong. And most Americans recognize it is wrong.
It is also contrary to the rule of law.
The American Bar Association supports the rule of law. That means holding governments, including our own, accountable under law. We stand for a legal process that is orderly and fair.
We have consistently urged the administrations of both parties to adhere to the rule of law. We stand in that familiar place again today. And we do not stand alone. Our courts stand for the rule of law as well.

A good way to understand the interdependency of capitalism and colonialism:

Capitalism determines that not replacing lead pipes increases profits for shareholders, Colonialism targets predominately Black cities, like Flint, to suffer the poisoning.

SCOTUS ruled a President cannot commit a crime while being President….that does not apply to underlings committing crimes on his direct orders…only he is immune. Musk is not cloaked. States should move on Felonies against MUSK asap and get him disqualified from Taxpayer handouts for his ventures.
