not reading a book series because there are very specific editions you like but they're from across the sea so you just wait for a second-hand miracle

My current Stephen King reading order is reading the book hinted at in this current book. This will work, yes?

I don't know how it got to be the end of summer but...

Hi! I'm the book content editor for Reactor Mag and I'm looking for 2026 sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and crossover speculative books! If you've got an adult or YA SFFH book publishing next year please share the link/info here!

Good. Fuck them and any publisher that tries to grift authors and robs us of good stories. Any Unbound authors with physical copies still to sell, please hmu!

Started reading Tom Cox's Notebook and I keep laughing at all the shenanigans. This is literally what it is, just non-fiction filled with the author's shenanigans, and other people's shenanigans, and musings, and eggplant rooms and it's delightful and I love it

direct connection to Libby and you can borrow library books directly from the ereader; I like the buttons lol!; UI is so much cleaner and simpler and without the annoying "buy this, get that" sections; shows your reading stats.

Kobo wins: colorized version cheaper than Kindle color; wider display; better for graphic novels/comics; much lighter so easier to carry; if buying your ebooks elsewhere, just drag them to the Overdrive folder (an alternative to sending via email);

Kindle wins: send via email; sharper/brighter display; bit smaller; more self-published authors on Amazon; cover sizes are responsive and always look nice.

Yeah, good question! If you're happy with your Kindle and don't really care for UX/additional features then Kindle does all you need. I bought a Kobo Libra Color when Kindle went digital-ownership only, so that's one reason, but owning both is the best of both worlds tbh

It's super easy especially if you keep both, which I did :p

Thanks! Strange though, can you jump straight from that omnibus to this new one? Because I see there's more in the other series

Is this a good moment to get into the series, you think? I've never read any but I remember them releasing another of these omnibus around

That's great! I always wonder if it's normal, but I find it's much easier for them to acclimate when one of them is much younger (from my experience). We needz cat duo pics!

Paperback for Caitlin Rozakis' The Grimoire Grammar School Parent Teacher Association. Cover depicts a tower of tomes, with the one on top open on pages decorated with a circle pentagon and other scribblings. On the bottom, a unicorn cupcake. The paperback has orange painted edges, with Halloween-ish symbols (skulls, cauldron, cupcake, unicorn, bone, candle, etc). It's super cute and super orange and purple. I love it.

The naked hardbacl for Jelena Dunato's Dark Woods, Deep Waters. Jesus, it's beautiful. It's fucking beautiful. The quality is pristine, the art so sharp. A woman is depicted in a grand scale, reaching for a city from among a stormy cloudy sky. Surrounding the city, the dark, deep waters.
