STEP 1 - GENOMICS
Every discovery starts with DNA! We use cutting-edge sequencing techniques to decode the genetic potential of marine microbes. By analyzing their genomes, we can identify clusters of genes (BGCs) responsible for producing valuable bioactive compounds!
We aim at optimising a marine bioprospecting pipeline in Europe to enable state-of-the-art research and capacity for both academia and industry. A clear matrix with a detailed overview of the critical steps, from genomics and biomass production to bioassays, chemical profiling and data integration.
