A message from Facebook letting the user know that she had submitted an appeal and would find out within a few days if her account was being reinstated or permanently suspended.

So Facebook suspended me yesterday for something vague and unexplained. I largely hung on for my years and years worth of contacts on messenger (and some messages from friends and family that have passed). I'm deeply regretting not giving more people my phone number at this point.

I've been thinking a lot this morning about the word "belief." I think I'm going to avoid using it with right wing folks, especially since the GOP is associating itself with Christian nationalism so hard. For example, the current conversation around the possible appointment of RFK jr as Sec of Health and Human Services. Belief is a word most of us use colloquially to refer to understanding and confidence in something (such the scientific process or a theory with a lot of evidence to back it). I think it's a heavier term with religious implications for some and even an excuse to willfully misunderstand a position. So, RFK Jr doesn't "understand" science instead of doesn't "believe" in science.

I wish I knew. 😭 I feel like I have whiplash at how fast things are happening.
