Because the Epstein estate files were released first, we'll get to see if/how the DOJ altered them when those files are released.

I root for underdogs. And kindness. And democracy. Also: writer, critter rescuer & bleeding heart.
Because the Epstein estate files were released first, we'll get to see if/how the DOJ altered them when those files are released.
13.11.2025 21:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0They just can't keep their hands off taxpayers money. Because Trump is so blatant about grifting, they think they can be, too. Why do we keep electing people who see us as marks?
13.11.2025 13:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I wonder about the timing of this, too. Like...did the Whitehouse feel the Epstein files are at last scrubbed & give the nod to end the shutdown? Suddenly, Johnson is fine swearing in Grijalva.
But this implies that the 8 caving Dems were in on the game, & that's a tough pill to swallow.
The system Trump fantasizes about doesn't work. We tried it. People with pre-exes (50% of us) couldn't get insurance. That's why we HAVE the ACA.
Also: 48% of those with ACA coverage are self-employed or small biz owners. They already "feel" like entrepreneurs. Shouldn't a president know that?
In 10 months, the ONLY thing Republicans have done is intentionally make every single thing about life in U.S. harder & more expensive.
Unless you're a millionaire or billionaire.
Then you're good.
So, he keeps a notebook by his bed at night, dreaming up new ways to screw over Americans?
10.11.2025 22:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Yes, it WAS working. People are angry & engaged, and GOP was starting to feel the pressure.
...until 8 isolated, tone-deaf Dems offered them a bailout. For ZERO in return. What a massive betrayal of the people they're supposed to represent.
Please keep fighting & speaking up, Senator Murphy.
Unlike Shaheen, I thought staying in shutdown mode WAS getting us somewhere. The elections showed people are engaged & angry.
The airlines fiasco seemed to be getting under GOP's skin (sadly, starving people didn't). As Thanksgiving approaches, it would turn up the heat. So, why cave NOW?
...and Dems wonder why voters are gravitating to Mamdani.
They are their own worst enemy.
Dems once again snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory. What an absolute travesty.
10.11.2025 02:34 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I tried calling Senator Durbin, bit couldn't leave a voicemail "due to high call volumes."
So I called Senator Duckworth, encouraged her to keep standing firm...and to pass the message along.
But maybe high call volumes is a good thing?
So compelling. Makes me sad and hopeful all at once.
09.11.2025 15:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It is stunning, and I don't understand how it can possibly be legal for Trump to withhold and give away taxpayer funds with zero oversight.
Although nothing about this administration is remotely legal.
Mamdani is going to implement Shangri-La law and everyone will live in paradise.
09.11.2025 13:45 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0How is it that the gov "couldn't" fund SNAP due to all these obscure rules and processes...but Trump could just write a $40 billion check to Argentina on his own in the blink of an eye?
07.11.2025 21:26 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So, our Secretary of Health skedaddles (show's over!) and our feckless leader stands there steaming, ticked off that he's been upstaged?
How is this real life? Our leaders are...monsters. An SNL skit can't even do this justice.
It's unthinkable that we have a president who is actively fighting to...let Americans go hungry.
He's wasting billions in taxpayer money--our money--on corrupt vanity projects, while making life harder for us every way he & his goons can imagine. How does he still have any approval ratings at all?
I love that for them.

05.11.2025 15:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Imagine if his nose grew, a la Pinocchio, every time he lied.
His face would be on the ground. He is shameless.
It's shameful. Is there anything voters can do about it now?
05.11.2025 15:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was thinking this, too. But last night's results show voters are not only paying attention, but ready to push back. That will make it harder at every level.

04.11.2025 02:07 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I am sorry for your and your family's loss. He sounds like a truly great guy.
03.11.2025 22:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My diehard GOP family member told me that Trump is a 'corrupt conman'...but insists he's still a better president than Kamala Harris would have been.
He can't explain why. He truly believes all Dems are evil. I don't know how bad things need to get before his ilk sees the light.
...not to mention lawless, cruel and crazy?
01.11.2025 22:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Self-professed Boomer here. I show up because I want my kids & grandkids to live in a free America.
From all the "I'm here for my grandkids" signs I saw at my local No Kings, I'd say it's a prime motivator for many of us.
I've passed the point of thinking Republicans "just don't care." It's worse: they're actively trying to make Americans suffer.
Trump's been driving up costs (and unemployment) since day 1. He put armed soldiers on our streets. Now they're withholding food & healthcare. How bad does it need to get?
Let them eat cake!
