Lighting plays such a major part in adding drama to an image, even if it’s just a simple window in an otherwise dark room.
Ignoring all the photographic ‘rules’ about shadow detail and blown out highlights and ‘rule of thirds’…..why should images all conform to someone else’s standards?

We made a determined effort to create some simple portrait images but unsurprisingly they ended up unsuitable for posting on typical social media unless I added the unsightly blur or scribble.
