RexGale shouldve been a quick effect (but they balanced it by giving us Maxx C on draws instead). Donner should've been we can use both effects + quick effect if u play 2 more names in field/gy

The deck really did just need a way to make the pieces have more presence + flexibility into specific types of interactions

The deck already had a Folgo + Rafale as the intended endboard due to the whole "Discard for negate + Draws" dynamic. New cards enabling it + letting you to trigger the other high lvl members easier is what the deck needed. Storm also turns Dyna/Sagitta/Donpa/Recon into boardbreakers which is cool

In the artbook, Helmer did kinda point out that Rex was one of the "this ones gonna grow really big fast" or smth like that so probably maybe like a year or two

I only disagree on one thing: it's the 2nd easiest in archetype way to draw non engine (Rafale > Helmer > Folgo). But its def not worth the payout :(

Can we talk about how the new Quick-Play DOES work with Helmer so I actually don't feel bad about playing 1 of him anymore 😭 (while it's obv better w Wiz/Rafale)

Tbf, the restrictions on the new cards are intended to stop you from making Borreload, Apollousa, and the likes in the first place, which is a good thing but the end board is still something that they be lacking
