What does your Pokémon team look like?

A plastic miniature stares at the camera in an explosion of colors. It appears to be a large, spider-lile creature - only it has tentacles (arms, really) coming out of its face, and what appears to be smoke stacks along its back. It stands atop a granular, light-grey substrate-like surface, amidst fluorescent foliage and stones. Pink, blue, green, and yellow offer a glowy vibe even in standard indoor lighting, though the fun really starts under a blacklist. Strands of glue have been pulled between the spiky tendrils of its maw, painted the same red as the blood splatter surrounding it. The interior of the maw is coated in a thick yellow substance, appearing to be a venomous saliva of some kind, with blood red splashed over top, as if the creature has been eating. The carapace looks almost black, and is broken into distinct segments along the head, the abdomen, and the thorax. The legs we can see are also plated in chitin. Fluorescent yellow dots glow on the carapace, above the flesh of the face, around the sides, and higher up on the shell. It's hard to hit eyes if you don't know where they are, and this thing isn't making it easy. Fluorescent pink seeps out beneath the plates on the head, thorax, and legs, splashing over the metallic pink along the edge of the plate, almost as if a light source is emanating from within. Fluorescent and metallic blue mimic this along the thorax, and fluorescent blue plumes of smoke, or spores, or bacteria-based biomass pour from the stacks along its back. For a massive creature, dropped down to a planet with no sun in sight, camouflaged to the plants below, it it easy to imagine guards standing watch and never knowing it was there until they'd already been dissolved within by the mass it has released into the air. One such guard might have noticed it, but believed it solitary and docile - so far as to name the beast "Smopey" after that strange looking smoke coming out of its back...

A profile view of Smopey, showing much more of the creature's left side. The viewer can see fluorescent yellow spines along the arms on the creature's face, splashes of blood along its back and legs where it got a little careless - or excited - and made a bit of a mess. More foliage is visible, and for as tall as Smopey is, it's apparent that he is also long - and there is that same fluorescent yellow fluid ejecting from its would-be spinneret. The yellow dots of the false eyes are visible all over, now - with several on each plate along its body. The spinneret is also covered in a small set of plates, with the same blues as the thorax in play. Along the metallic pink legs are vents that glow that fluorescent pink, and though the soft flesh of the thorax is a deep plum with pink flush, the veins and ports in the beast's side also glow with the fluorescent pink from within. Vents on the stacks on its back have a fluorescent blue glow instead - implying perhaps different functions in different regions of the creature, all focusing on a particular method of rending its prey. From this side, it appears as if the thing has six legs, and then the mass of wriggly arms it uses to drag prey into the maw lined in sharp, shredding teeth. If you look close, you can see small teeth, and tiny eyes beneath the plates on the creature's head.

Rear view of Smopey! This mostly just shows the fluorescent yellow spinneret fluid better - it's pooled in a thicker glob by the spinneret itself, has two strands down to a rock below, and one additional strand stretched under and connected to plating running across its ventral thorax. The yellow dots on the spinneret and backwards-facing hind legs might be able to convince someone in the rear that they're looking at the face of a creature.

Aaaand the right profile view of Smopey - it's a mirror of the left, or as close as I could get it.

Which in lore, this is accurate to the letter. Halsey saw the Spartan IIs as kind of like her children and very hostile to the Spartan III program. Stuff like this really makes miss the Bungie era of Halo.

One of my all time favorite scenes in Halo is this cutscene from Halo Reach. You really get to see how Halsey treats the Spartan IIs and IIIs.
She has almost a motherly and friendlier tone when she speaks to Jorge than she does with Carter.

What do you think is a good/acceptable starting buffer time for streams? I usually have a starting soon buffer for the first 10 minutes or so before chatting with everyone.
