We did the same thing here in Belgium, in downtown Brussels. I used to avoid Blvd Anspach like the plague until 10 years ago. These days, it's hard to believe that street was once a busy 4-lane boulevard.

I would have a go myself first, and then I'd sit there for an hour or two, because seeing other people release their inner child makes me smile. I'd probably bring my camera and take some happy pictures.

Can you believe I spent three years in Dublin and never made it to the Wicklow Mountains? Not once. In my defense: I didn't have a car. Nor did my Irish friends or colleagues ever mention how beautiful the Wicklow Mountains were. Two decades later, I'm still kicking myself.
