ugh i'm sorry, this is such a frustrating problem!!

If being called "weird" is the thing you're most worried about, you need to get some bigger problems.

Because Parker was already getting harassed at that point. What the hell did Ana think was going to happen by saying "actually, here's another reason why I think Parker is evil for this incredibly benign tweet."

I'm not talking about you directly. I'm talking about people like Ana who decided to throw their friends and allies under the bus in order to make extremely stretched takes.

As I said in my original post, Ana simply could have not commented on it, or at least not blamed Parker in doing so.

And there was no way of doing that without throwing Parker under the bus in the process?

it becomes an issue for birthday parties and such, from my experience.

This is the problem – people making absolutely absurd jumps in logic to try to justify the harassment.

Like it just drove more people to harass Parker, and in turn more people to harass Ana, because by that point everyone had taken "sides."

There was no good outcome there.

Right, that's my point. Ana jumping in with her opinion that was half-criticizing Parker and half-defending her didn't help anything. It just further escalated the situation for everyone and made everything worse.

I think Parker herself questioned it multiple times and never got a straight answer. So as of yet, I don't know that there's anything to actually indicate that that was the case.

She could have just... not said anything, though. Or at least not fed more fuel to the fire. It only further contributed to the harassment of Parker.

do we actually know if the person who made the mod was trans? I see that keep getting said but have yet to see any proof of it.

FWIW I checked his videos from the past few months and none of them list Jeremy D as the scriptwriter. But who knows, maybe he removed other mentions of him.

A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.
