30.10.2025 08:01 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have you sent out your submissions and then changed your mind? You have the option to cancel your campaign π‘
Whether you realized you sent the wrong song, sent it too soon, decided it still needs reworking, or just got frustrated with the world... yes, you can cancel it.

28.10.2025 07:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Instead of dropping one album and disappearing for a year, try releasing singles regularly β each one gives you another shot at playlists, algorithms, and fresh ears. Yes, consistency. A few smaller drops can outperform one big one over time.
28.10.2025 07:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Streams donβt make you rich, but strategy helps π‘
Streaming might pay fractions of a cent, but a smart release plan and having all your bases covered can stretch every cent (much) further πͺ What do we mean? π€π§΅π
Each of us has different preferences, so itβs important to know your options. You can always transfer your (cover) song to another distro if your current deal isnβt great. Securing a one-off license is easier than you might think & definitely better than having your song deleted.
27.10.2025 07:46 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 04οΈβ£ Opt out of downloads. Some distributors let you release a cover without needing a license if you choose a streaming-only setup. Ditto, for example, allows you to easily adjust your release settings for a smooth cover release.
27.10.2025 07:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 03οΈβ£ A yearly fee. The cost isnβt usually high, but remember β your song's numbers may decline over time, but youβll still need to pay to keep it up. Distrokid, for ex., charges ~$12/y. We suggest avoiding this route UNLESS you expect A LOT streams or money isnβt an issue for you.
27.10.2025 07:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 02οΈβ£ A one-off fee. Perfect if you want to handle everything in one place without jumping between services. For example, Landr offers a one-time payment to secure a license and distribute your song.
27.10.2025 07:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 01οΈβ£ Get a license from an external service (like Easy Song, Affordable Song Licensing, etc.) and upload your song with your distributor while including the license. Most distributors allow this, but it's wise to check their FAQ first.
27.10.2025 07:45 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Do you release cover songs? πΆ Every distributor has its own rules, ranging from not accepting covers at all to easily distributing them without a license (if you donβt enable downloads).
So, what are the most common scenarios for distributing a cover? π€
π§΅π
We're sure your project, music, and the song youβre pitching are unique. So do highlight that uniqueness, make them think, and capture their interest with an original quick pitch or by mentioning where and why exactly you're fitting to make your chances higher π
24.10.2025 06:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Make. Your. Pitch. Eye-catching. ποΈ
While a quick pitch wonβt win a placement if the song doesnβt fit, it can make a difference if thereβs hesitation. The pitch is a way to stand out in a queue of songs, so make it compelling enough to make the curator pause for a sec.
π§΅π
A bit of research beforehand is best to prevent this. But if your heart tells you that a particular name is simply right, then do so while bracing yourself for possible problems. It's (usually) solvable, but you'll need to reach out to the platform's support and/or your distro.
23.10.2025 06:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0If you've chosen an artist name that includes symbols or is the same/very similar to another artist, be prepared to face a kind of "fight" with streaming platforms (as well as for discoverability) π Sometimes, distribution can mix things up, but often it's not even their fault.
23.10.2025 06:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0With more than 11M artists on Spotify π€― there are bound to be some with the same/similar names. To that, the use of different capitalization or symbols (think $ or β β β (Crosses) complicates it even more, making it likely for one's music to get mixed up with someone else. π§΅π
23.10.2025 06:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0In short, a decline without feedback is actually a refund in disguise β returning your credits while letting you know it wasn't a match for the outlet.
21.10.2025 06:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0What it means is that they, unfortunately, couldn't share the song and wanted to let you know. At the same time, they probably really liked it (or you) and didnβt want to take your credits, allowing you to spend them elsewhere.
21.10.2025 06:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Have you ever gotten a decline with #nofeedback from a SubmitHub curator and wondered what the heck that's good for? Well, it actually shows a lot of goodwill from the curator π‘
π§΅π
P.S. If success on (and off) SubmitHub is your goal, we strongly recommend doing the opposite β check the curatorβs style and explain why your music fits it. Mention the specific playlist or category of their outlet where you think your song would work best π‘
20.10.2025 07:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You know that the curator doesnβt go for the style your song is in, but still want to try your luck? π¨ Well, you have every right to do so β itβs your credits, after all. However, only do this if you're ready to gamble and accept the (high) probability of being rejected.
π§΅π
... so you donβt waste credits (and donβt risk looking dishonest).
Think of it this way: if someone doesnβt feature AI in their playlists, why push them? Weβll just filter them out for you, so your chances with the right curators are better π
Thereβs no AI witch hunt π§ β¦ there never was πΎ
When you upload a generated track, we ask you to be honest and disclose it. This info isnβt public β curators wonβt see any badge or label on your song. Itβs there to filter out the curators who said they donβt want AI songs...
π§΅π
π‘ The only exception (and yes, we do have a few curators who do this) is when a curator either accepts or refunds. For them, weβve coded a special exception to avoid flagging their high acceptance rate as a red flag π©
16.10.2025 07:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0You want your music in a quality playlist or on a respected blog thatβs also genre-specific, filled with great tracks, ideally at least somewhat similar to yours, right? That requires pickiness β and thatβs also how you trigger the right algorithms.
16.10.2025 07:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A curator with a very high acceptance rate can be a bad sign. Why? π€
We believe that curators should do some curating β thus, be selective. If they accept every song, it can mean theyβre either not willing to put much effort in or their standards are (very) low.
